2016 Tar Heel Service Day with Friends of the Riverfront

Mark your calendars for Tar Heel Service Day! On October 15th, from 9am-12pm, the Pittsburgh Carolina Club will be partnering with Friends of the Riverfront to remove litter and graffiti, clear invasive weeds and plants, and plant native trees, shrubs and bulbs along Pittsburgh’s riverfronts. The riverfronts here are what make Pittsburgh so unique, so this is a great way for our group to make a tangible and important difference in our community. Friends of the Riverfront will provide all of the tools and supplies we will need for the day (including snacks from what I’m told).

The event is open to friends, family, and significant others, so please feel free to invite others to come along.

In addition, Carolina football plays Miami that day. If the game is scheduled for noon and will be broadcast on TV in the area, we can go somewhere afterwards as a group to watch the game together.

More details to come as the event location gets finalized and kick off time is announced for the football game.

Please RSVP at this link to indicate if you plan on joining us: RSVP. Contact Abir Chatterjee ’11 at abirc22@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Hope to see you on October 15th!
